My South India tour
Hey guys…
Recently I did a trip to South Indian ….I covered a Distance of 1600 +km on this trip …..
Here is how it went on …. Landed in Chennai Airport….. [ very clean and modern when compared to other airports]
Day 1- Went to my friends place and took his Eliminator out for a spin …. was shocked to find that Chennai had changed a lot in just 5 years time.
So many Malls and so many new hangouts…. One thing I was strange in Chennai … Marina Beach had none of the lights on … It was so dark and strange to see such a good beach in darkness…..
I always missed Dosas of south … so headed off to the nearest Sarvanas restuarant and had 3 cone Dosa … my stomach was about to burst but dil nahi man raha tha … the taste of the sambar …. woow… i really enjoyed that Dinner … after all it had been 5 long years since i visited South…
Day 2- Took my friend along to the nearest Bullet showroom [ Basant Nagar ]…. my friend had lots of good friends arround there so managed to hire a RE 500
…Now i am not use to riding such a Bike but managed to take it out for a spin in basant nagar beach …. The Bike was in good condition and had real power ….
By afternoon I and my friend took off from Chennai …. He was on his Eliminator and i was on RE … Riding along the beach was the best experience you would ever get … specially if its a lil coudy …
Then reached Pondicherry …. with in few hours it started raining badly … so had to wait in that city for couple of hours… but i didnot miss i single moment of this trip and took this opertunity to taste almost all the special cuisine that they had…
The rain did not stop even after darkness hit the road … so we were forced to take a room and stayed there for the night …. called few more old buddys and they joined us within mid night ….
Day 3- Early morning 4:30 …. we wake up …. searching for a fag … and dont get any vendor selling Classic … every where i find people having either Wills or Goldflake…. so had to switch over to Wills …
took off with our bikes to Nagoor …. its a silent town and only town with no damage coz of Tsunami … people were so affraid to go to the beach over there …
I went straight on to the beach and took some snaps on my mobile….
found no one arround for 4 hours… not a single person … and was such a nice beach … here are the pics of the beach …
After the beach we went to a local Dhaba there … they had this special parathas over there…. could not resist to take the recipe …. found out that the Parathas dow needs atleast 48 hours to prepare … WooW … thats long time…
Now we took a hotel room in that room … guess what the price of that AC room was …. Rs. 125 …. damn cheap ….
Day- 4
took off to Kanya Kumari on our bikes when we met these french and british riders who bought thier Bullets frm Chennai … guess how much they paid for 15 yr bullet .???
45k …. damn … they got looted …. any ways … poor people had no idea where to go so they tagged along with us ….
Reached Kanyakumari and found almost nothing special about that place…
Day- 5
Woke up lazy …. had lots of daru the other night …
Took our bikes …. and started off to Coching via salem and coimbatore…
Now while we were riding down the road i spotted this huge Temple … i could not resist myself from going in there and just looking at this marvel …
This Temple is huge guys … the pic does no justice to it …
I was wondering why they did not consider such a huge temple for wonders of the world…
Day- 6
Kerala … God own contry
damn …. this place was just too good guys …. On the way to Cochin … you will find back water lakes … all the way to the beach … and belive me … 400 odd KM
you could find your self near this
I had no words for this scene guys
I mean no words… sat on the Bike for 6 damn hours doing nothing but watching the water flow ….
Day- 7
Reached Mangalore ….
The whole trip spoiled by damn rain … did not go out for 2 days coz of heavy rains…
Day -9
had to push off … no other option but to ride away from this place…. had no good time here
so left to Bangalore … the whole day and night 700 odd kms to Bangalore … left in the morning at 7 … and reached bangalore at 1 in the night … the rain combined with bad rear tyres of the Bike … it was horrible … my friend had got a call frm his family as it was some kinna emmergency he took off to chennai …. and i was left behind all alone… now this ride to bangalore was solo and scarry … coz first of all i had no clue about how this Bike works… second if by change the rear tyre fails … i m a dead man … coz i cannot push such a heavy Bike to any where close to civilization …
some how i reached bangalore … again found my self in rain …
Stayed there for few days with my friends in bangalore …
Day- 11
left to coimbatore … My native …. had to see my granny after such a long time… emotional time for my family members …
Got nice comments from my gr8 cousins as i was riding bike…
Day- 12
Left to OOty
Day-14
went back to Chennai and took the first flight out of there
damn good trip … ended the trip with some rain spoiling the fun …
Back to Delhi
Good to see my friends and my dearest of all … my Bike….
