Riding on a motorcycle is dangerous at the best of times but if we fail to wear the proper protection when out on the roads things can be worse than needed in the event of an accident. It always makes me cringe when I see bikers out in the nice weather with shorts, t-shirts and trainers with no thought to the consequences if they fall off.

The usual answer when I ask someone why they don't wear any safety gear is that they like the comfort afforded to them with what they have on. This is fair enough and definitely something I understand but the fact is these days you can get some great gear than is both comfortable and offers protection at the same time. Take Kevlar motorcycle jeans as an example. Now if you have never worn a pair of these you might think that due to the fact that Kevlar is used to make bullet-proof vest its going to be a tough, hard material that hurts like hell to wear when out on a motorbike. Well i can tell you from experience that this isn't this case, if anything I'd say my Kevlar motorcycle jeans are more comfortable than the Levis I wear when doing the shopping.

Not only is this protective clothing comfortable but it can keep you pretty cool too, even in reasonably hot weather. Once you get moving on the bike jeans let the air circulate and feel great when moving along at speed. If you are in the market for a new pair of trousers for riding then suggest you take a look at the many styles of motorcycle jeans now available, I'm sure you find a style that suits and you'll be happy with the results if you ever fall off your bike.
